Sentinel
Overview

Overview

This section is where the product starts to make sense.

The early mistake most people make is reading Sentinel like a collection of features. That tends to flatten everything. You see workspaces, threads, plan mode, approvals, the terminal, the browser, and the runtime settings as separate things. They are not really separate. They are all there because the app is trying to hold onto ongoing software work instead of just sending prompts to a model.

If you want the shortest useful pass through this section, read What Sentinel is first and then How Sentinel is shaped. Those two pages explain what kind of product this is and why the shell is arranged the way it is. Core concepts is the vocabulary pass after that.
